MORE

Martin Preston re-creates the magic of Liberace in a spectacular full-length show, complete with crystal candelabra, glittering grand piano, and the flamboyance and excitement of Las Vegas' greatest musical showman. Mr. Preston is an actor and musician who has devoted the last 15 years to recapturing the music, comedy, and glamour of the late, great Liberace. A classically trained pianist, Martin will astound you with marvelous musical memories, all performed live, of Liberace favorites like The Beer Barrel Polka, Malaguena, The 12th Street Rag, and I'll Be Seeing You, all lushly orchestrated and carefully reproduced from the original signature arrangements.

And the costumes!!! You will witness six spectacular, outrageous, eye-popping creations, all duplicates of actual Liberace designs. "My opening costume (known as the Artic Emperor) has a quarter of a million hand-sewn sequins, beads, crystals, not to mention over ten pounds of Swarovski rhinestones," says Preston. And that's not all ... in addition to five other equally elaborate outfits, he also sports fantastic furs, sparkling rings, dazzling jewelry, and a fabulous floor-length feathered cape that shines with 150 electric lights! Said CNBC's Tom Snyder upon viewing Preston for the first time, "Incredible!"

Liberace, the Legend Lives debuted in Boca Raton, Florida in 1990, and ran for a record-breaking 32 weeks. Since then, Martin Preston has appeared as Liberace in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, in many of the North America's finest theatres and showrooms, and throughout the world on the Cunard, Holland America, and Princess Cruise Lines. In addition to performing at several gala celebrations at the famed Liberace Museum, Preston is an honored recipient of the Grand Prize in the Liberace Piano Competition, and has been granted the express authorization of the Liberace Estate to appear and perform as Liberace.
